New sidewalks put an extra spring your step
USA Today ran an intersting story yesterday about Washington, DC and other areas that are now using rubber sidewalks. A company called Rubbersidewalks are responsible for developing the product. The sidewalks will reduce the number of times tree uproot the old concrete sidewalks. I'm really hoping that Arlington starts installing the rubber sidewalks because concrete is unforgiving to my joints when I'm jogging. It would be soooo nice jogging on ground-up tire.

Cool stuff... I wish that we had that here in the 'Burg our running group would be able to expand our current routes to include more "sidewalk" running.
You never know Beth. These sidewalks are being rolled out all over the country.
